As a professor at UAB I taught over one thousand undergraduate and graduate students a wide range of courses including lifespan human development, child development, theories of counseling, theories of personality, educational psychology, introductory through advanced doctoral statistics, research methods, program evaluation, educational assessment for teachers, and data-based decision making for educational administrators. I have served on over 70 graduate research committees across disciplines at UAB, and continue to serve on such committees as an Emeritus Professor. To support students and researchers struggling with statistics I developed YouTube videos to explain the conduct and interpretation of statistical procedures using IBM SPSS. As a scholar, I have published and presented widely on a variety of topics and served as the Associate Dean of Research for the School of Education and Human Sciences at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).
